The second day home!

Well, today completed our second day home from the hospital. So far, we have just been resting, playing, and cuddling! Oscar has taken the whole week off so it's been great just bonding as a family without any agenda. The two older kids (that's weird to say) are adjusting well with the new baby - Ki is very "grown up" and absolutely loves it when Zek's eyes are open. He gets so excited and talks to him. He says he can't wait to play with him and will teach him many things. Geni loves to help. She constantly wants to put the chupon (pacifier) in his mouth, whether he needs it or not, and loves to get the wipies and tiny diapers for us. She likes to watch him and touch him but is a little reserved with him. Both kids want to hold him. Oscar is bonding with Zek in the wee hours of the night! It's been great being able to nurse him when he cries and then hand him off to Daddy! Good thing Oscar likes to stay up late! Zek has been waking up about every hour or hour and a half and we are lucky if we get two hours at once. We know it won't last and in a week or two hopefully he will have his days and nights the way it should be - hopefully! I'm doing well - I feel great and am excited to get into a routine with the kids eventhough I'm not going to worry about it or even think about it this week! I want to just relax and enjoy having my hubby home with me. I'll let you know how relaxed I am next week when I'm "by myself" - good thing my parents are coming out in a couple of weeks! I can't wait!

The more kids you have, the more you cherish their every little thing. When you realize that this is the last time for this or that, it makes you appreciate it that much more.

Enjoy the time with Oscar home. Oscar, you old rascal, 3 kids!!!! Enjoy your week off and nights up with the little guy.

Take care...

Of course Zeke looks great, must take after his grandpa...your family looks so good. This is really the start of a new adventure and will have great memories. I am very impressed at the level of commitment you both have made to capture all these special times. 20 years from now this will be even more valuable. It is really fun for me to go in and look at all this stuff. Cant wait to come over in a week or so.
